Rapeseed Cake
Brassica napus
Also known as: Rapeseed oil cake

About Rapeseed Cake
By product of rapeseed oil extraction, commonly used in ruminant diet with low palatability.
Nutritional value and use in livestock rations
Rapeseed Cake is a concentrate feed and an energy source in the Pakistan Feed Library. On average rapeseed cake contains crude protein 34.3% of dry matter, metabolisable energy 2.7 Mcal/kg, TDN 73.5% of dry matter, NDF 25.5% of dry matter.
Energy concentrates such as cereal grains and by-products raise the energy density of a ration. They are fed together with forage for fibre and with protein sources and minerals to keep the ration balanced.
Nutrient values vary with variety, growing conditions, processing and storage, so treat the averages as a guide. Send us your ration details if you would like advice on using it in a TMR.
TMR Pakistan supplies Rape Seed Cake in bulk for farms and feed mills. Add it to your quote list or contact us for a quotation.

SD = standard deviation DM = dry matter. Nutrients other than dry matter are expressed on a dry-matter basis. TDN = total digestible nutrients; ME, NEm, NEg, NEl and DE = metabolisable, net (maintenance / gain / lactation) and digestible energy.
